Ed Baker in Costa Rica
I am interested in the emerging field of bioinformatics, particularly the informatics of taxonomy and nomenclature. I also study the orthopteroid insect orders (polyneoptera), in particular the stick and leaf insects (phasmida) and the cockroaches (blattodea).
I am currently working at the Natural History Museum, London developing the Scratchpads project within e-monocot and ViBRANT.
In addition I am interested in extracting biologically useful data from Flickr.
